Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the Defense Enclave Services (DES) team at Ft. Meade, MD. This role involves designing, migrating, and securing DoD networks to consolidate services into a modernized DoDNet environment.

You will work with stakeholders across DoD agencies to create scalable, secure network architectures and migration plans. The position requires DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret, CCNA/DoD network experience, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret
• CCNA or comparable vendor certification
• DoD IAT Level II (Security+) certification or equivalent
• Experience documenting designs with drawing tools (Visio, PowerPoint, Gliffy, Cameo, MagicDraw)
• Experience troubleshooting complex network issues and conducting site surveys
• Experience planning or executing migrations of circuits/networks or cloud transitions
• Experience with LAN/WAN, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, routing, and firewalls
• Ability to present designs to leadership and draft technical documentation

Responsibilities

• Plan and design secure network solutions to consolidate connectivity under an enterprise service
• Conduct legacy environment discovery and develop design/architecture leveraging approved patterns
• Design secure WAN connectivity including underlay/overlay/COI transport
• Provide secure access solutions using wired and wireless technologies
• Incorporate capacity planning and scaling of network and security stacks
• Identify legacy service paths and design to-be enterprise capabilities balancing security and maintainability
• Support IP addressing schemes across IPv4/IPv6
• Work with IA teams to ensure DoD compliance and accreditation artifacts
