Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our Defense program supporting the AFLCMC. The role focuses on architecting, deploying, and sustaining secure DoD network infrastructure across multiple locations.

The candidate will translate mission requirements into resilient network solutions and lead lifecycle activities from design through operation. The position requires hands-on experience with enterprise routing, switching, firewalls, and WAN technologies, with a strong emphasis on DoD

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years' experience or Master’s with 6+ years.
• Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure.
• Hands-on with routers, switches, firewalls, and WAN technologies.
• Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements including STIGs and RMF.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed network architectures and engineering designs aligned with DoD, Air Force, cybersecurity, availability, and mission requirements.
• Translate operational and technical requirements into network designs, implementation plans, equipment specifications, BOMs, and documentation.
• Design, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN gateways, and network services.
• Engineer LAN and WAN solutions with Ethernet, VLANs, STP, link aggregation, QoS, ACLs, and high availability.
• Configure and troubleshoot routing (BGP, OSPF, static) in enterprise/multi-site environments.
• Support secure WAN connectivity using IPsec, site-to-site VPNs, MPLS, and DoD transport solutions.
• Support DoD cybersecurity requirements, STIGs, RMF, vulnerability remediation, and RMF activities.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, IP plans, config baselines, rack elevations, and as-built docs.
