Job summary

Aviation Systems Engineering Company in Virginia Beach is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and sustain Navy LVC training networks. You will maintain enterprise and tactical networks enabling real‑time data exchange, distributed simulation, and large‑scale exercises with Navy, Joint, and coalition participants.

The role is based at NAS Oceana Dam Neck Annex, requires DoD RMF expertise, and DoD Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years in enterprise/tactical network design and support.
• Experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers in DoD environments.
• Proven ability to design secure, scalable networks for distributed simulations.
• RMF security practices and boundary defense implementation experience.
• DoD/Navy network experience and leadership during exercises.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise and tactical network architectures.
• Support classified and unclassified training networks.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network management systems.
• Maintain network availability across dispersed locations.
• Lead during major fleet and coalition training events.
• Travel up to 25% annually.
• Monitor network performance and security incidents.
