Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to join a Federal Program at Pearl Harbor, HI. The role will support a large-scale enterprise network with LAN/WAN/WLAN expertise, boundary engineering, and extensive routing and switching work.

Ideal candidates bring DoD experience, active clearance, and certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE. You will participate in an on-site team, follow SAFe practices, and contribute to mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with relevant network experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level III cert (e.g., CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security).
• Vendor certifications (Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE) preferred.
• Expert in BAN/LAN/WAN/WLAN and network boundary engineering.
• Experience with large DoD networks and 16,000+ devices across 450+ locations.
• Hands-on troubleshooting in routing, switching, SD-WAN, VPNs, BGP, OSPF.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a dynamic enterprise environment.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, VLANs, wireless APs, firewalls, and sensors.
• Provide engineering and operational support for one of the world's largest intranet environments.
• Serve as Tier III escalation resource for complex incidents and coordinate with vendors.
• Act as SME and escalation backstop for troubleshooting across multiple network disciplines.
• Track work in an Agile/SAFe framework using JIRA.
• Conduct RCA in support of problem management activities and recurring incident resolution.
• Manage change tickets and maintain configuration baselines; ensure STIG compliance.
