Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to join a large-scale DoD enterprise network program in Pearl Harbor, HI with 100% on-site presence. The Systems Engineer Mid role supports a global intranet and focuses on complex network troubleshooting, engineering, and security for a dispersed environment.

Responsibilities include leading issue resolution, configuring Cisco infrastructure, and delivering EIPs with robust change management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience or Master's with 6–10 years.
Active Secret clearance required.
IAT Level III certification.
CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE network certifications.
Extensive BAN/LAN/WAN/WLAN experience in large-scale networks.
SAFe Agile methodologies and JIRA familiarity.

Responsibilities

Lead efforts to identify, troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex network issues in a large enterprise.
Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches, routers, VLANs, WLANs, firewalls, and sensors.
Provide Tier III escalation support and SME backing for multi-team troubleshooting.
Engineer LAN/WAN/WLAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, VPNs, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and switching protocols.
Develop and maintain Engineering Implementation Plans and change requests for deployments.
Perform RCA and maintain version-controlled configuration baselines and firmware.
Contribute to lab testing, pre-production validation, and security posture per DISA STIGs.
