Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer for a long-term DOD program focused on Navy enterprise network infrastructure, network engineering, cybersecurity, and Tier III network operations. This position is 100% onsite in Pearl Harbor, HI.

The Network Engineer will support a large-scale enterprise network with hands-on routing, switching, LAN/WAN/WLAN, and security across mission-critical Navy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6–10 years with a Master’s degree; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with enterprise network engineering, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong routing and switching experience, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, and related protocols.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, VLANs, VPNs, and network sensors.
• Provide Tier III escalation support for complex network issues, outages, and performance problems.
• Troubleshoot routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, multicast, SD-WAN, MPLS, and VPNs.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, vendors, and customer teams on network operations, architecture, and modernization efforts.
