Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer for a long-term Navy enterprise network program. This role is 100% onsite at Pearl Harbor, HI, focusing on network infrastructure, security, and modernization across a large DoD environment.

Responsibilities include configuring and troubleshooting routers/switches, VPNs, and LAN/WAN/WLAN, while adhering to DISA STIGs and DoD cybersecurity requirements. 8–12 years of experience preferred with a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6–10 years with a Master’s degree.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise network engineering, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong routing and switching experience, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs and related protocols.
• Demonstrated Tier III escalation experience supporting complex network environments.
• Experience with DISA STIGs and DoD network security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, VLANs, VPNs, and network sensors.
• Provide Tier III escalation support for complex network issues, outages, and performance problems.
• Troubleshoot routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, multicast, SD-WAN, MPLS, and VPNs.
• Support LAN/WAN/WLAN and network boundary engineering across a large, geographically dispersed enterprise environment.
• Apply network security and defense‑in‑depth principles while maintaining compliance with DISA STIGs and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
