Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Dir, Epidemiology Pipeline (TA - Virology) to provide scientific leadership across the virology portfolio. This role shapes study designs, risk management and post-marketing strategies, coordinating with RWLP and commercial teams to win opportunities and deliver robust scientific outputs.

The successful candidate will oversee project start-up and deliverables, mentor teams, develop key documents, publish abstracts and manuscripts, and advance epidemiologic practices

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, or Public Health (Master's or Doctorate preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of study designs; familiarity with post-marketing and late-phase designs.
• Basic knowledge of SAS, R, Python.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; strong teamwork.
• Demonstrated leadership and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• SME in Virology Clinical Trials; acts as scientific resource for RWLP management and company leadership.
• Collaborates with RWLP management, business development, and operations to develop and win global opportunities; leads proposals and presentations.
• Provides scientific oversight of projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Coordinates with the project manager on study start-up and ongoing management; develops essential study documents and reports.
• Develops trainings on epidemiologic designs and guidelines for RWLP/Company.
• Builds capacity and improves processes for non-traditional site tasks and RWLP SOPs.
