Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Dir, Epidemiology Pipeline (TA - Virology) to provide scientific oversight across Virology trials and lead epidemiologic strategy. You will collaborate with RWLP management, business development, and operations to win opportunities and deliver high-quality studies.

You will guide study designs, develop regulatory-compliant documents, and mentor teams while advancing training on epidemiologic methods and real-world evidence.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, or Public Health (Masters preferred, Doctorate acceptable).
• In-depth knowledge of diverse study designs and regulatory expectations.
• Proficiency in statistical programming languages (SAS/R/Python).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong teamwork and leadership.

Responsibilities

• SME in Virology Clinical Trials; provide scientific guidance to RWLP management and functions.
• Lead development and delivery of proposals, bid defenses, and capability presentations.
• Provide scientific oversight to meet timelines, budgets, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the PM to oversee study startup and ongoing management; develop key study documents.
• Train RWLP/Company staff on epidemiologic study designs and guidelines.
• Develop organizational capacity and SOPs; advance remote/central monitoring methods.
• Foster sponsor and thought-leader relationships; contribute to abstracts and journals.
