Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director to lead the rationalization of our security vendor and technology portfolio and bring strategic discipline to how we invest in, build, buy, and manage security capabilities.

This leader will turn a sprawling landscape of security vendors into a coherent, defensible portfolio. This is an individual contributor role that will partner with security, procurement, finance, and business leaders to align technology strategy with organizational priorities

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in security technology strategy, vendor management, or a related domain.
• Built decision frameworks and translated them into repeatable, defensible processes.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills.
• Understanding the security tooling landscape and how capabilities map to organizational risk.

Responsibilities

• Rationalize the current portfolio of security vendors, identifying overlap, consolidation opportunities, and gaps to reduce complexity, cost, and risk.
• Develop a security economics practice that drives cost clarity on tools, including unit costs for vulnerability identification and remediation.
• Build repeatable decision frameworks and lightweight tooling that guide investment, divestment, build, and buy decisions across the security stack, and design a disciplined vendor engagement process for our multifaceted vendor relationships.
• Partner with security, procurement, finance, and business leaders to align technology strategy with organizational priorities and budget, and establish governance, metrics, and reporting to track portfolio health over time.
