Avalara, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Director, Value Creation Insights to lead the analytics and insights function, translating commercial data into decisions that drive revenue growth and go-to-market efficiency.

You will manage a globally distributed team of analysts, analytics engineers, and thought leaders across time zones, ensuring rigor and adoption. You will partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Revenue Operations to identify opportunities, drive initiatives, and deliver end-to-end

Qualifications

10+ years in analytics, data science, or data engineering with leadership experience.
Strong command of Snowflake, SQL, dbt and modern data stack tooling.
Experience building AI-enabled analytics and scalable data platforms.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive multi-team initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead forecasting analytics, revenue models, and governance frameworks.
Oversee scoring ecosystems, model adoption, and alignment with GTM teams.
Steer data infrastructure, ingestion, governance, and data quality across systems.
Drive AI roadmap, platform modernization, and embedded AI agents in workflows.
Partner with FP&A, GTM, and Finance to translate analytics into decisions.
