Job summary

Avalara, Inc. is seeking a strategic Director of Analytics, GTM Operations to partner with the CRO, Finance, and GTM leadership to drive sales efficiency, pipeline growth, and forecasting accuracy.

You will lead a global analytics function that defines performance metrics, builds predictive models, and embeds AI into core GTM processes to enable scalable revenue growth and smarter decision-making across regions.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in Sales Analytics, Data Science, or BI in high-growth SaaS
• Proven AI/ML applications for forecasting or GTM optimization
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python/R, BI tools
• Experience building and scaling analytics teams and translating data into executive insights

Responsibilities

• Own forecasting backbone; build models for bookings, renewals, churn, expansion
• Improve forecasting accuracy via automation, retraining, external signals
• Lead end-to-end funnel analytics from pipeline to closed-won using predictive modeling
• Develop scalable analytics frameworks with AI-driven scoring (deal likelihood, pipeline risk)
• Translate insights into GTM plays and workflow automations
• Establish governance for funnel metrics and real-time insights
• Define global KPI framework and integrate prescriptive metrics
