Avalara, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Director of Value Creation Insights to lead an analytics and insights function driving revenue growth and GTM efficiency. You will manage ~30 analysts and engineers, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Revenue Operations to translate data into strategic actions.

The role blends analytics, operations, and strategy, overseeing forecasting, scoring, data infrastructure, AI-enabled analytics, and cross-functional collaboration at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in analytics, data science, or data engineering with 4+ years in management.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake, SQL, dbt, and modern data stack tooling.
• Hands-on with AI/LLM tools and building AI agents or automated workflows.
• Experience leading distributed teams onshore and offshore across time zones.
• SaaS business metrics, ARR, MRR, GTM funnel analytics exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics and insights translating data into decisions that drive revenue growth.
• Oversee forecasting analytics, scoring, and governance across GTM functions.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Revenue Ops; communicate to executives.
• Build and manage a globally distributed team of ~30 and ensure high quality standards.
• Set data definitions, KPIs, and telemetry aligning with company strategy.
