Job summary

Avalara seeks a Sr. Director, Value Creation Insights to lead analytics and insights, translating commercial data into decisions that grow revenue and improve go-to-market efficiency.

You will manage a ~30-person, globally distributed team of analysts, analytics engineers, and thought leaders, aligning with senior executives across Revenue Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Sales. You will drive the AI roadmap, modernize analytics platforms beyond traditional BI, and ensure governance,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or data engineering.
• 4+ years in people management.
• Deep expertise with Snowflake, SQL, dbt and modern data stack tooling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee analytics, insights, and platform modernization across GTM, finance, and operations.
• Lead forecasting, scoring, and predictive analytics to drive revenue growth.
• Govern data quality, security, and governance for commercial datasets.
• Partner with FP&A and executive teams to align on KPI definitions and performance reporting.
• Build and maintain a scalable, globally distributed analytics organization.
