Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Director Process Manager within PULSE Operations in Houston, TX. You will create strategy and lead a team through high priority projects with significant impact on the company’s bottom line.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and proven program management experience across multiple locations. You’ll drive complex initiatives, manage budgets, and coach associates while partnering with stakeholders at all levels to deliver results

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience.
• 2+ years of process management experience.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• 2+ years of strategic planning experience.
• MBA or related master's degree preferred.
• Process or project management certifications (Lean, Six Sigma, PMP) preferred.
• 5+ years in process management preferred.
• 5+ years in people management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderate sized teams to drive complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction.
• Design, develop, and manage project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget within a challenging environment while managing risk.
• Partner cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments.
• Utilize outstanding influencing skills to drive project and program efforts.
• Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management and ability to quickly establish structure.
• Exhibit a passion for coaching and developing associates through leadership.
• Maintain excellent communication and partnership skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Serve as a Project Leader who is detailed-oriented and able to manage several initiatives simultaneously.
• Act as a Problem-solver by understanding project goals, proposing effective plans, and leveraging data/metrics to deliver results.
• Function as a Juggler capable of prioritizing and toggling between multiple projects with urgency and adaptability.
• Be a Valued Partner with a proven record of collaboration and an understanding of Capital One's risk management organizations.
• Operate as a Team Player willing to roll up sleeves and contribute beyond the scope of the role.
