Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking a Director of Preconstruction to lead the preconstruction team, set strategy and governance for execution planning, and deliver high-quality delivery plans. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction industry experience such as estimating, project controls, project planning, and/or construction management (renewables preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership across multiple projects/programs.
• Previous solar construction experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience building and leading teams and influencing executive, cross-functional stakeholders in a matrix environment

Responsibilities

• Model, promote, and enforce safety policies to ensure safe planning and execution.
• Drive quality planning and review rigor for complete and right-first-time execution plans.
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing preconstruction talent; build succession plans and role clarity.
• Establish group reporting cadence, dashboards, and data governance standards for executive leadership.
• Provide functional leadership across a distributed preconstruction organization and matrixed resources.
• Coach and mentor team members to strengthen depth and leadership capability.
• Develop, implement, and maintain standard procedures and controls within Preconstruction.
