Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University seeks a Senior Director for Campus Enterprises to oversee dining services, retail operations, and catering platforms. This role will lead the campus dining program, retail and catering strategies, and drive revenue growth with new revenue-generating initiatives.

The Senior Director will set performance measures, manage the Director of Retail and Director of Real Property, and foster a culture focused on customer service excellence while guiding budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in the area of assignment, with supervisory or lead-worker capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in management/related field and five years of management/administrative experience including planning and budgeting.
• All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Position Overview

Primary Purpose of Position

The Senior Director for Campus Enterprises will be responsible foroverseeing services provided by the food service provider, withdirect oversight of the Director of Retail and Director of RealProperty. This position will provide supervision for the BuildingEnvironmental Specialist and Facility Maintenance Supervisor.Responsibilities include strategically leading and developing thecampus dining program, retail operations, and catering platforms toenhance performance by setting clear, accountable performancemeasures. This position will drive revenue growth and develop newrevenue-generating entities while assisting with businessdevelopment initiatives in food services, catering, and retail foodoperations. Additionally, the Senior Director for CampusEnterprises will create a culture and processes that achievebusiness goals and objectives, emphasizing customer serviceexcellence.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

Campus Enterprises is a visible support unit on the campusproviding essential service to students, faculty, staff, parentsand visitors. Campus Enterprises is comprised of the University’sself-supporting entities. The strategic goal of Campus Enterprisesencompasses achieving operational excellence, generating revenue,and providing outstanding customer service satisfaction. Inaddition, Campus Enterprises provides management support to theintercollegiate athletics program to efficiently and effectivelypreserve athletic resources as well as fiscal oversight to theDivision of Student Affairs and all student driven entities.Organizationally, Campus Enterprises resides in the Division ofBusiness and Finance. The Associate Vice Chancellor reports to theVice Chancellor of Business and Finance. The department serves avast and diverse customer-base that consists of eight functionalunits: Dining Services, Aggie OneCard, University Bookstore, TicketOffice, Mail Center, Vending, Concession and Parking &Transportation.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in the area ofassignment, of which at least one is supervisory or in alead-worker capacity; or an equivalent combination of training andexperience

All degrees must be received from appropriately accreditedinstitutions.

Bachelor’s Degree in institution management, hotel and restaurantadministration, business administration, finance, accounting orrelated field AND five years of management/administrativeexperience including planning and budgeting. Additional qualifyingfood service work experience in large-scale food preparation willbe considered.
