Job summary

IQVIA Inc is seeking a senior sales leader to establish and manage a comprehensive business development program across assigned territories. You will direct activities to achieve sales and new business goals from identification through contract award, and build relationships with senior levels inside client organizations and within IQVIA.

The role requires leading a sales team, strategic planning, performance management, and mentoring while leveraging industry networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management required.
• 15+ years of CRO services sales experience with 5+ years in management preferred.
• Proven track record developing biotech contacts at mid- and senior levels.
• Strategic business and industry awareness; able to translate trends into opportunities.
• Strong commercialization knowledge and understanding of drug discovery and development.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of time.
• Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; capable of mentoring others.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor employees and manage performance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a sales program to maximize organizational growth.
• Direct a sales team within the territory in line with policies and law.
• Oversee salary administration and HR-related actions for the team.
• Identify opportunities through industry networks and client relationships.
• Lead proposal discussions and participate in defense meetings as needed.
• Maintain Customer Account Plans and pipeline status with senior management.
• Provide guidance on staff development and career progression.
• Collaborate with operations to align sales strategy with company goals.
