Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management.
• 15+ years CRO services sales experience, including 5 years in management.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Proven track record in developing biotech contacts at mid- and high-levels.
• Strategic awareness and ability to translate industry trends.
• Understanding of commercialization and drug discovery/development.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 40% depending on location.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage an effective business development program to maximize growth.
• Direct BD activities from identification through contract award.
• Build relationships with senior client contacts and IQVIA leadership.
• Lead staff, plan and direct work, appraise performance and development.
• Oversee salary administration and HR actions as needed.
• Establish a sales program to maximize organizational growth.
• Provide guidance to sales staff on performance and progression.
• Utilize industry networks to identify opportunities and develop relationships.
• Maintain a pipeline via Customer Account Plans and targets.
• Collaborate with senior management to select operations for proposals.
• Participate in proposal preparation and defense meetings.
• Represent Sales Team to Senior Management with updates.
• Research target markets and perform strategic analyses for IQVIA services.
• Ensure the sales team is trained to meet objectives.
