Job summary

IQVIA, a leading global provider of clinical research services, seeks a senior business development leader in Dallas, TX. You will establish and manage a robust sales program to maximize growth, directing senior relationships inside customer and IQVIA.

You will guide a sales team, monitor plans, and collaborate on proposal activities. The role requires deep CRO sales experience, strategic market insight, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management required.
• 15+ years CRO services sales experience including 5 years of management responsibility required.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Proven track record developing mid-level and high-level biotech contacts.
• Strategic business awareness and ability to translate industry trends.
• Understanding of commercialization and drug discovery/development.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff per policy and legislation.
• Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance and development.
• Approve HR actions including salary administration.
• Establish and manage an effective sales program to drive growth.
• Guide sales staff on performance management and career progression.
• Use industry networks to help junior staff build relationships and identify opportunities.
• Monitor Customer Account Plans and pipeline of opportunities.
• Collaborate to identify operations members for proposal defense meetings.
• Participate in proposal preparation/defense meetings.
• Represent Sales Team to Senior Management on key updates.
• Research target markets and build relationships for IQVIA service lines.
• Ensure sales team training meets objectives.
