FNBO is seeking a Senior Director, Advanced Data Scientist to lead the Partnership Division's data science and modeling roadmap, shaping credit decisioning and portfolio management through advanced ML. You will influence strategy, align stakeholders, and deliver measurable business impact at scale.

You will independently design and own end-to-end model development, apply cutting-edge techniques, ensure regulatory and risk compliance, and partner with risk management and validation teams to drive

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field; PhD preferred for research strength.
• 7+ years building statistical or ML models in financial services or consumer credit.
• Proficient in Python and/or R; strong SQL skills; experience with credit risk modeling.
• Experience with modern ML techniques and model explainability.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year modeling roadmap for credit-risk models.
• Lead end-to-end model development from problem to production.
• Apply advanced ML techniques to large credit datasets and evaluate models.
• Ensure fair lending practices and model interpretability for regulatory needs.
• Communicate results to senior leadership with actionable insights.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders across the organization.
