Job summary

FNBO seeks a Senior Director, Advanced Data Scientist to provide strategic leadership for its Partnership Division’s data science and credit-risk modeling. You will shape multi-year roadmaps, drive high-value ML models for credit decisioning and portfolio management, and influence across business, risk, compliance, and technology teams.

You will independently own model development, apply advanced techniques to large datasets, and ensure robust validation, reporting, and production deployment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• PhD preferred for strong research experience.
• 7+ years building statistical/ML models in finance or credit.
• Strong Python/SQL skills.
• Experience with modern ML techniques and explainability.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year modeling roadmap for credit risk models.
• Lead modeling discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Develop ML models for credit card acquisition and underwriting.
• Apply ML to large credit datasets and monitor performance.
• Document methods, risks, and results.
• Lead end-to-end model development from problem to production.
