FNBO is seeking a Senior Director, Advanced Data Scientist to shape strategy and lead the data science and modeling function within the Partnership Division. You will define a multi-year roadmap and oversee the development of advanced ML models for credit decisioning and portfolio management, merging quantitative rigor with executive influence.

Competenze

• Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics, or related quantitative field.
• PhD strongly preferred, especially with research in ML, statistics, or quantitative finance.
• 7+ years of experience developing statistical or ML models, preferably in financial services or consumer credit.
• Strong experience independently developing predictive models using large datasets.
• Demonstrated expertise in Python and/or R; strong SQL skills.
• Experience with gradient boosting/XGBoost/LightGBM, ensemble methods, neural networks, and other advanced ML techniques.
• Experience with model explainability techniques such as SHAP and partial dependence.

Mansioni

• Define and own the multi-year modeling roadmap for credit-risk acquisition and portfolio management models.
• Lead discussions with senior stakeholders to align methodology, priorities, and risk considerations.
• Identify emerging modeling capabilities to expand competitive advantage in credit decisioning and risk management.
• Communicate modeling strategy and results to senior leaders with executive-ready reporting.
• Independently design and develop advanced ML models for credit card acquisition, underwriting, and account management.
• Apply advanced statistical techniques to large-scale datasets and evaluate algorithms.
• Conduct fair lending analysis (e.g., least discriminatory analysis).
• Lead model-development projects from problem definition to production deployment.
• Establish training/validation/out-of-time testing strategies and document methodologies.
• Partner with model validation and risk management teams to address challenges.
