Job summary

Sphere Entertainment seeks an experienced Construction Executive to oversee its development portfolio in Las Vegas. You will lead pre-construction, construction, scheduling, design, logistics, and constructability across the project lifecycle, ensuring safety, budget adherence, and quality.

Responsibilities include reviewing CPM schedules, coordinating with design teams and the Engineer of Record, directing field operations on large-scale venues, and communicating risks and progress to executive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent depth of field experience may be considered
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction
  • Majority of experience directly managing field operations across all construction phases
  • Experience with large-scale projects exceeding $500M in construction value
  • Experience with entertainment venues, stadiums, convention centers, or comparable facilities
  • Experience coordinating multiple trades on active job sites
  • Understanding of structural steel, concrete, curtain wall, MEP, and specialty systems
  • Ability to read, interpret, and challenge construction documents, shop drawings, and erection plans
  • Experience planning complex erection sequences, heavy lifts, and phased construction operations
  • Familiarity with union labor environments and workforce planning
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field operations
  • Fluency in means and methods across major trades
  • Knowledge of crane logistics, rigging plans, temporary shoring and bracing
  • Ability to translate field realities into executive communication
  • Skilled in reading and driving CPM schedules
  • Ability to identify padded durations and broken logic
  • Demonstrated leadership presence and technical credibility
  • Ability to operate across multiple project locations

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive-level oversight of construction activities across Sphere Entertainment’s development portfolio
  • Oversee development, pre-construction, construction, scheduling, design, logistics, and constructability throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead constructability reviews during design development
  • Identify conflicts, sequencing risks, and value-engineering opportunities
  • Provide input on means and methods, temporary works, and phasing strategies
  • Direct and oversee construction operations across active project sites
  • Ensure work is safe, on schedule, within budget, and meets quality standards
  • Maintain a constant field presence to validate progress and hold trade partners accountable
  • Review and challenge contractor schedules, including logic ties, durations, and resource loading
  • Identify schedule risks and drive recovery strategies
  • Coordinate with design teams, the Engineer of Record, and specialty consultants
  • Review trade sequencing, work-front handoffs, concurrent operations, and critical-path activities
  • Oversee site logistics, including crane planning, material laydown, transportation, temporary utilities, and site access
  • Serve as primary contact with construction managers, general contractors, and key subcontractors
  • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions to executive leadership
  • Provide exceptional experiences for guests, partners, and team members while following on-site appearance guidelines

Requirements
