Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in large-scale infrastructure projects in Wisconsin. You will drive schedules, cost estimates, and execution strategies while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across planning, procurement, and construction phases.

You will oversee third-party vendors, manage budgets and risk, and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of progressively responsible experience managing large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
• Preference for candidates with 3+ years of transmission construction or project management experience.
• Proven leadership in technical and construction environments.
• Strong vendor and contractor oversight capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills.
• Strategic thinker who can act tactically to deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams including ATC personnel, contractors, consultants, and supplemental resources.
• Deliver projects safely, on time, on budget, and in compliance with environmental, regulatory, and internal requirements.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, milestones, and execution strategies.
• Partner with internal teams to develop and maintain accurate project cost estimates and forecasts.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow, cost variances, and project risk and contingency.
• Oversee engineering, design, and construction activities performed by third-party vendors.
• Facilitate regular project status meetings, resolve issues, and approve invoices.
• Oversee multiple projects from planning through construction to project close-out.
• Promote safety and regulatory compliance while balancing project scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
