Job summary

The Auto Club Group (ACG) is seeking a Director, Benefits & Retirement to lead the design, administration, and ongoing effectiveness of health, welfare, and retirement programs for about 10,000 employees. This role emphasizes self-insured plans, pension and 401(k), and requires deep regulatory knowledge and vendor management.

Reporting to the AVP Total Rewards, you will translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, oversee annual initiatives, ensure financial sustainability, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Employee Benefits, or a related field required.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience overseeing health and welfare and retirement programs in a large organization.
• Experience with self-insured medical plans, 401(k) and defined benefit pension plans; ERISA and related laws; vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of the benefits and retirement strategy and roadmap with annual initiatives and measurable outcomes.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to Total Rewards leadership on program design, trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and make enhancements for financial sustainability and employee experience.
• Oversee administration of health, welfare, and retirement programs including self-insured plans, pensions, and 401(k).
• Lead annual enrollment, plan changes, vendor transitions, and regulatory activities.
• Develop and monitor policies for paid time off and benefits compliance.
• Support Workday Benefits configuration, data integrity, reporting, and integrations.
• Analyze program performance including claims, utilization, and funding; collaborate with Finance and actuaries.
