Job summary

Constellation seeks a senior BESS Engineering leader to direct the Battery Energy Storage Systems projects from conception through delivery. You will manage cross-functional teams, budgets, schedules, and risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and performance targets.

You will collaborate with vendors, EPCs, and internal stakeholders to optimize technology choices, oversee design and testing, and guide the project from development to operation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the renewable industry.
• Bachelor's degree required; engineering discipline preferred for advanced roles.
• Grid-connected BESS or inverter-based storage experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and other CAD software.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and UL standards.
• Proven design and delivery experience for grid-scale energy storage solutions.
• Strong MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and engineering of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects from concept to delivery.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and risk assessments to meet scope, cost, and quality targets.
• Coordinate with grid connection teams and regulatory bodies for compliance and permitting.
• Oversee engineering design, vendor interactions, and procurement strategies.
• Support construction, O&M procedures, and post-project improvements.
• Collaborate across departments to align project goals with corporate strategy.
