Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Director of BESS Augmentation to lead strategic and operational efforts for battery energy storage system projects.

This role directs Superintendents, collaborates with project managers, and oversees portfolio planning to ensure safe, timely, profitable delivery of BESS enhancements for SOLV and clients. The position is fully remote with discussion of location details during interview.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in utility-scale BESS or related electrical/energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and procurement processes.
• Ability to communicate strategy and risk to executives and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for BESS augmentation programs and teams.
• Set portfolio priorities, staffing, governance, and augmentation strategies.
• Direct safe field execution, outage planning, and turnover to clients.
• Partner with project managers on budgets, contracts, and schedules.
• Review portfolio safety, cost, margins, and corrective actions.
• Develop leaders through coaching, training, and succession planning.
• Coordinate with OEMs, integrators, utilities, and clients to align execution.
• Lead BESS safety planning, lockout/tagout, and environmental compliance.
