OneEnergy Renewables in the United States seeks a Senior BESS Manager to own and stand up the battery energy storage engineering function. You will lead DG and utility-scale BESS design, coordinate with Development, Preconstruction, Finance, and Engineering, and shape standards and cost estimates.

You will manage supplier relationships, ensure safety standards, and guide teams through RFPs, permitting, and project handoffs. Travel and leadership of a growing engineering group are expected.

Competenze

• Degree in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering field.
• PE license or clear near-term licensure path.
• 6+ years in professional engineering, construction, or land development with battery storage focus.
• Experience taking DG or utility-scale BESS projects through full construction and commissioning.
• Direct experience selecting, sizing, and procuring BESS equipment across OEMs/integrators.
• Familiarity with NEC (Article 706), NESC, NFPA 855, UL 9540/UL 9540A.
• Experience leading RFP responses and interconnection/permitting with utilities/AHJs.
• Experience managing internal engineering resources and reports.
• Willingness to travel and hold a valid driver's license.

• Define and maintain BESS design standards, templates, and workflows aligned with PV standards.
• Establish workflow for tracking BESS status, tiering, and prioritization across strategies.
• Lead DG and utility-scale BESS plant design; review HV substations and layouts.
• Lead design and modeling discussions with engineering teams and consultants.
• Lead BESS CAPEX methodology and develop equipment/EPC cost estimates.
• Drive equipment selection and pricing with Preconstruction Team.
• Own relationships with BESS integrators, equipment providers, and contractors.
• Maintain safety standards and update NFPA/NEC/UL compliance documentation.
• Lead BESS RFP responses with internal and vendor inputs.
• Provide feedback on System Impact and Feasibility Studies.
• Bridge Development, Preconstruction, Finance, and Engineering; hand off equipment quantities.
• Support community outreach, permitting, and pipeline planning.
