Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission in Brenham is seeking a Direct Support Professional III to provide direct care and support to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities at the Brenham State Supported Living Center.

You will join a dedicated team, assist with daily living activities, behavior support plans, and treatment programs while maintaining documentation and ensuring safety across multiple homes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or 6 months of work experience.
• Preferred: 6 months of experience with people who have mental health/IDD.
• Valid Texas driver’s license is required.
• CPR/First Aid, Ukeru/SUR certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support per individualized plans.
• Record participant information and progress.
• Assist with medication administration under supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.
