Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility. You will ensure high food quality, compliance, and customer service while managing staff and budgets.

Responsibilities include staff training, records management, and coordination with client managers and residents; you will oversee safety, infection control, and daily operations with a strong focus on quality dining experiences. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
• Two years of quantity food production/service and personnel supervision.
• CDM certification preferred; FPM and FSM/LTC-FSM within stated timelines.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within 14 days.
• Must obtain FSM and LTC-FSM within 60 days.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Able to lift/push up to 50 pounds; stand and walk for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; cover roles as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
• Ensure safety through PPE, cleaning procedures, and prompt equipment maintenance.
• Follow infection control and handwashing procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Maintain consistent attendance and timely task completion.
• Represent HCSG positively in interactions with supervisors, staff, residents, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
