Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Digital Water Account Executive to lead a robust sales pipeline for digital water solutions, partnering with leadership to shape client strategies and revenue growth. The role focuses on building relationships across utilities, communicating value, and guiding engagements from prospecting to contracts.

Preferred location is Central US/Great Lakes; travel up to 40% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8 years of related experience required.
• Equivalent additional related experience considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and expansion of existing client relationships.
• Develop and communicate clear value propositions and business outcomes to decision-makers within client organizations.
• Build, manage, and advance a robust sales pipeline across all stages of the sales cycle, including forecasting and revenue tracking.
• Manage client relationships through regular engagement to understand needs, identify opportunities, and ensure long-term partnership growth.
• Translate client needs and pain points into tailored sales strategies for digital and SaaS-based solutions.
• Participate in contract negotiations and support timely resolution of client sales issues.
• Maintain accurate sales activity records, forecasts, and client documentation within the CRM system (Salesforce).
• Partner with leadership to support sales strategies, targets, and market positioning.
• Provide feedback, guidance, and informal training to support team effectiveness.
• Perform other duties as required.
