Job summary

RTX in Tucson seeks an Electrical Subsystems Digital Principal Engineer to lead or support digital design efforts for development guidance systems. You will work on architecture, requirements, integration, and test across RF, NAV, and power domains, collaborating with multiple teams and customers.

The role requires 8+ years in relevant fields, a STEM degree, and active DoD Secret clearance. Occasional travel is expected as part of program deliverables and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in analog, digital, and power electronics design, integration, and production support.
• Decomposition of high-level requirements into actionable design electronics and subsystem architecture.
• Subsystem architectural design and experience in Digital sub-systems, requirements development, and CCA Design.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required, with U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support digital design efforts for development guidance systems.
• Enhance electrical engineering skills by testing and debugging complex circuit cards and electro-mechanical systems.
• Support component-level design and test reviews.
• Mentor and be mentored within a team-focused culture.
• Collaborate with functional and program management, customers, and suppliers.
• Travel ~25% may be required.
• Participate in lifecycle activities from design through documentation and reviews.
