Job summary

RTX in Tucson is seeking an Electrical Subsystems Digital Principal Engineer to lead or support digital design efforts for development guidance systems. You will work on digital and analog hardware, perform testing and debugging, and help drive subsystem architecture while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires active DoD Secret clearance and may involve ~25% travel; relocation is possible. RTX offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits aligned with government contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in analog, digital, and power electronics design, integration, and production support.
• Decomposition of high-level requirements into actionable design electronics and subsystem architecture.
• Subsystem architectural design and digital subsystem experience.
• Experience in digital test integration and/or digital supplier management on an effector-based product.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead or Support Digital Design Efforts for development guidance systems.
• Troubleshoot and test complex circuit cards and electro-mechanical systems; hands-on experience preferred.
• Support component level design and test reviews.
• Mentor and collaborate with peers andProgram management.
• Travel ~25% as needed; coordinate with customers and suppliers across programs.
