Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electrical Subsystems Digital Principal Engineer in Tucson, AZ to lead digital design efforts for development guidance systems. You will work across hardware teams, perform architecture and requirements activities, and mentor junior engineers

The role may involve travel (~25%) and requires a transferable U.S. government Secret clearance. RTX offers a comprehensive benefits package and relocation assistance where eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in analog, digital, and power electronics design, integration, and production support.
• Decomposition of high-level requirements into actionable design electronics and subsystem architecture.
• Subsystem architectural design and digital sub-systems experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support digital design efforts for development guidance systems.
• Collaborate with management, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and mentee culture is encouraged within the team.
• Travel up to ~25% may be required.
• Engage in architecture definition, requirements, test plans, and reviews.
