Job summary

Freddie Mac Multifamily is seeking a Senior Digital Product Designer in McLean, VA to own end-to-end UX design for web and mobile, aligning with the Freddie Mac Design System. You will partner with product and technology teams to drive user-centered improvements in an agile environment.

The role requires 5–7 years of design experience, a relevant Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD. You’ll collaborate across disciplines and influence design delivery at scale.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of design or product strategy, visual or interaction design.
• Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, or equivalent work experience.
• Understanding of applying and implementing Design Thinking methodology.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and user needs.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications.
• Participate in user research activities, such as usability testing, interviews, and surveys.
• Ensure designs align with the Freddie Mac Design System and established methodologies.
• Stay current on UX design trends, tools, and techniques to inform decisions.
• Present design concepts and capture feedback to support iterative improvement.
• Own end-to-end solutions, including managing partners and alignment.
• Coordinate with design leaders to maintain consistent patterns across tools.
• Partner with product, business, and development leaders to streamline delivery.
• Work with design leads to refine UX process and improve operating model.
• Model and support culture change through user-centered design and evidence-based decision-making.
