Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• The ability to solve problems and communicate effectively; teamwork and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailers with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel systems.
• Keep the work area clean and safe; log and document repairs using Penske tools.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training; participate in ongoing education.
