Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a qualified Technician II in Bryan, TX to perform preventive maintenance and diagnose repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles. You will work independently, mentor newer technicians, and use Penske’s training resources to advance your skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Specialized training/experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred
• Experienced using tools of the trade (including diagnostic equipment)
• Valid driver’s license
• DOT/OSHA safety compliance knowledge

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Perform preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailers with minimal supervision
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel systems
• Keep work area clean and safe
• Use Penske tools/tech to log, research and complete repairs including basic diagnostics
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training
• Assist with other projects as assigned by supervisor
