Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a skilled Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll work with Penske’s diagnostic tools and training to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

The role supports on-site shop activities in Dixon, CA with opportunities for growth, stable hours, and an emphasis on safety and reliability. You’ll join a team of experienced technicians and supervisors who mentor you along the way.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools effectively.
• Customer service and communication skills are essential.
• DOT/OSHA safety policies must be understood and followed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel engines, including tires and lubrication.
• Learn new skills through Penske's technician training and coaching.
• Participate in other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
