Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Selma, TX is seeking an experienced Technician II to perform major and minor repairs and preventive maintenance on a diverse fleet. You’ll work independently, mentor others, and continuously grow through training with Penske’s certification programs.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components and ASE/608/609 certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision and timely.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
