Job summary

NEXTRAN CORPORATION in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Diesel Engine Technician to diagnose, repair, and rebuild medium- and heavy-duty trucks. You will mentor apprentices, lead projects, and collaborate with Parts and Service teams to keep repairs on schedule, with strong focus on safety and quality craftsmanship. Candidates should have 3–5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience, a high school diploma or GED, and valid driver's license; CDL a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience (10+ years preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
• ASE Certifications are a plus; Master Technician preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to learn dealership management and diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Accurately document repairs and diagnostic findings.
• Communicate with Parts and Service teams to ensure repairs stay on schedule.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and help lead the team.
