Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers in Atlanta South (College Park), GA, is seeking a Diesel Engine Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks in our Engine Shop. You will mentor apprentices, lead projects, and advance your career with a team that values quality craftsmanship.

Candidates should have 3-5+ years of diesel experience; Master Technician and ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience (10+ years preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED; ASE and Master Technician certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; CDL a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and dealership/diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Document repairs and diagnostic findings accurately.
• Coordinate with Parts and Service to keep repairs on schedule.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and help lead the team when needed.
