Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc in Anaheim is seeking a Mechanic/Technician with heavy equipment experience or diesel mechanic education to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment.

The role includes diagnostics, preventive maintenance, repairs, and mentoring of less-experienced technicians, with opportunities for tuition reimbursement and certification incentives. Shift differential pay is available and tool reimbursement is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Minimum of five years in vehicle maintenance.
• Heavy-duty maintenance certificate may substitute for experience.
• Master ASE certification may substitute for more experience.
• Competent in brakes, electrical, PMI, powertrain, and trailing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics and perform repairs or component replacements.
• Make adjustments for safe operation and complete required safety documentation.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced technicians.
• Document maintenance work and prepare reports.
• Perform safety inspections and assist with paint/body work as needed.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
