This senior hands-on role involves diagnosing and repairing Ford Power Stroke engines and a mix of medium- and heavy-duty trucks, with an assigned helper and direct collaboration with the Shop Manager. You will lead diagnostics, mentor a junior technician, uphold safety and quality workmanship, and take ownership of repairs from start to finish in a fast-paced fleet

Qualifikationen

• Significant professional experience in diesel and commercial truck repair.
• Strong diagnostic and repair experience with Ford Power Stroke diesel engines.
• Proven ability to work on medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
• Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs, and take ownership of assigned jobs.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to share knowledge and help develop a less-experienced technician.

Aufgaben

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair Ford Super Duty trucks, including 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engines.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty commercial trucks, including Peterbilt.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, engine, transmission, fuel, emissions, and drivetrain systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair air-brake systems, ABS, steering, suspension, and hydraulic components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and major mechanical repairs across a diverse fleet.
• Use diagnostic software, wiring diagrams, and technical service information to identify failures.
• Provide technical direction and hands-on guidance to an assigned helper.
• Communicate repair findings, parts requirements, and estimated repair timelines to the Shop Manager.
• Maintain high standards for safety, workmanship, and equipment reliability.
