Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Technician III to perform preventative maintenance, advanced diagnostics and component replacements across heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The role includes training junior technicians and ensuring high-quality repairs in a demanding shop environment.

Ideal candidates bring a Diesel Technology Associates degree, 7+ years of experience with class 7 & 8 trucks and experience repairing 53’ trailers, with strong welding and diagnostic skills and a commitment to safety and

Qualifications

Training experience in supervising or guiding other technicians.
Diagnostic experience with vehicle systems and components.
Welding experience with basic aluminum and steel welding.

Responsibilities

Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction(s).
Train new service shop employees on company procedures regarding vehicle repairs.
Inspect orders for completion and quality before presentation or delivery to customers.
Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes and filter replacements.
Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes and related components.
Test drive vehicles and components using proper equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair suspension, electrical, exhaust, and HVAC systems.
Overhaul and repair engines (diesel/gasoline).
Review service stories to determine tasks for timely completion.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
