You’ll work directly with the Shop Manager and have an assigned helper to assist with repairs, maintenance, and daily shop operations. This is a hands-on technical leadership position, not an administrative or shop supervisor role.

  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty commercial trucks, including Peterbilt.
  • Diagnose electrical, electronic, engine, transmission, fuel, emissions, and drivetrain systems.

  • Proven ability to work on medium- and heavy-duty trucks.

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and help develop a less-experienced technician.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ford diesel training or certifications.
  • ASE Medium/Heavy Truck certifications.
  • Experience with Cummins, PACCAR, and other commercial diesel engines.
  • Familiarity with Ford IDS/FDRS and heavy-duty diagnostic platforms.
  • Experience with commercial fleet maintenance.
  • Previous experience mentoring or training junior technicians.
Who We’re Looking For
We value experience, sound judgment, and genuine mechanical ability. The right candidate is someone who can confidently approach an unfamiliar problem, develop a logical diagnostic plan, and see the repair through to completion. We want a technician who takes pride in their tools, their workspace, and the quality of their work. Someone who understands that keeping a fleet operating requires more than turning wrenches — it requires attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to solve problems correctly the first time.
What You Can Expect

  • A dedicated helper to assist with daily repairs and maintenance.
  • Direct communication with the Shop Manager.
  • An opportunity to serve as the senior technical resource for the on-road fleet.
