Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A in Columbus, OH to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including engines, chassis, hydraulic and electrical systems. You will support our fleet with state‑of‑the‑art technology and ensure safe, reliable service for drivers on their routes.

The role requires 5–7 years of heavy‑duty truck experience; ASE certifications are a plus but not required. CDL‑B is also a plus.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with strong technical expertise.
• 5–7 years of experience as a technician on heavy‑duty trucks.
• CDL-B or higher is a plus but not required; LNG/CNG experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge and proficiency in chassis, bodies, braking, engines, HVAC, and electrical systems on heavy trucks.
• Diagnose and repair diesel fuel and fuel systems; inspect and repair suspension, drivetrain, and steering components.
• Perform line maintenance, welding, and fabrication; participate in company training programs.
