Job summary

Republic Services in Cleveland, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and HVAC. The role covers on-site and road service, with a focus on safety and reliability for a single fleet of state-of-the-art vehicles.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with basic to intermediate repair skills for heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• Understand and apply work-order labor time standards.
• Have knowledge of gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair.
• ASE Certifications T1–T8 are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus.
• 3–5 years of technician experience or recent graduation from automotive college/technical program.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components, refuse bodies, braking, and drive train systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on on-site and road service vehicles.
• Utilize electronic tools to identify malfunctions and safely return equipment to operation.
• Complete required company training and adhere to safety policies.
• Assist with basic inspections under supervision as needed.
