Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Shop Technician B in Cincinnati, OH. Under supervision, you’ll repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and brakes.

Expect service on HVAC, suspension, drive train, and steering, plus basic welding and occasional road service. You’ll work with state-of-the-art fleet, support drivers, and grow your skills through on-the-job training and formal programs.

Qualifications

• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of vehicle components and systems for preventative and repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Repairs chassis components and refuse bodies with hydraulic and electrical systems; works on air/hydraulic brakes.
• Performs light engine repair, suspension, drive train and steering maintenance; HVAC tasks.
• Welding and fabrication as needed; provides road service to return equipment to operation.

ASE Certifications (T1-T8)

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) optional
