Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A in Columbia, SC. This role performs repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel trucks, with emphasis on chassis, hydraulic, braking, engine, and HVAC systems.

Training on new technologies is provided, and you will support drivers with a focus on reliability and safety. The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of technician experience on heavy-duty trucks, can diagnose multi-system issues, and may hold ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform inspections/repairs with minimal supervision where required.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks.
• Diagnose and repair chassis, braking, engine, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Utilize scan tools to diagnose electrical concerns and perform line maintenance/fabrication.
